Materials

Teak Wood
Teak is the classic wood for outdoor furniture, and for good reason: it's rich in natural oils that protect it from water, rot and insects. It starts out a warm honey gold and, left outside, slowly turns a soft silver grey. Both looks are beautiful. To keep the golden tone, clean it and apply teak oil every few months; to let it silver, simply wash it now and then.
Polypropylene Cloth
A hard-wearing outdoor fabric woven from fibres that barely absorb water. Cushions dry fast after a swim or a passing shower and resist mould and mildew, which makes it a natural choice by the pool. It keeps its colour in the sun and cleans easily: most marks come off with water and a little mild soap.
